What are Assessment Centres?
Our Assessment Centres usually
consist of an extended period of interviews, assessed tasks and
exercises, organised and conducted by our experienced Consultants
for small groups of (usually between 6 and 8) candidates, although we
have operated an Assessment Centre for fewer.
An Assessment Centre usually requires a candidate to commit to a
full day on site, whether this is at the prospective employer, a hotel or function room or at our offices. In addition
there is often an element of pre-work for the candidate to complete
beforehand.
Why use an Assessment Centre?
The purpose of an Assessment Centre is to find out how candidates
perform, usually in a group environment, in a variety of situations
that are often based on real life work-based scenarios.
Assessors wish to see how candidates react to and get on with other
people during an assessment, and although it is expected that there
will be an element of competition amongst candidates during the
process, evidence of teamwork, communication and leadership skills
are equally important.
