Performance Management
Performance management, in its simplest form can be a basic
appraisal process, applicable from shop floor to management level
within an organisation. It can however reach much further than that,
into learning and development initiatives, coaching, setting
standards and competencies, pay, and performance correction. The
reality is that it is so easy to get wrong and so hard to get right.
Why use it?
When used at all levels within an organisation it is a highly
effective tool which aligns the strategic direction and objectives
of the business with the day to day performance of the individuals
within it. It also provides an early warning system to identify and
correct personal issues or individual performance issues.
