Psychometric Testing
Psychometric testing is a set of tools used to assess human capital and
individual preferences in the workplace. It can be quick and easy to
administer with a range of on-line and face to face options.
Psychometric tests can also be administered in languages other than
English.
Ability tests
The benefit of ability tests for selection purposes is that objective
comparison can be made between candidates for roles, however a further
comparison can also be made with the population of people in similar
roles within the UK, for example, senior managers, administrators,
engineers and graduates.
Personality profiling (OPQ)
Personality profiling is a process which involves individuals
undertaking a questionnaire which last about 45 minutes, administered
face-to-face or on-line. The analysed output compares the candidate’s
preferences with a chosen population in relation to :

Suitable cultures and job content

Aspects of their feelings and emotions
Personality profiles predict an individuals
preferences, or style which helps determine how they approach their
role. This can be useful to determine strengths or areas for
development.
Managerial judgement
A critical success factor in management is using appropriate judgement.
Questionnaires are available to establish how appropriately individuals
use their efforts to manage objectives, manage people and manage their
reputation in the business.
Sales reports
For sales roles, successful candidates will be capable of handling
projects from the initial analysis of the market to providing ongoing
customer support and building long term relationships. Questionnaires to
establish personality and motivation related factors are now becoming
more widely used.
